It looks like Prince Harry and his new girlfriend; Meghan Markle could be heading Down Under!
The loved-up Prince made the announcement yesterday that the 2018 Invictus Games – an international sports competition founded by Harry – will be hosted in Sydney.
Revealing the exciting news via a funny video, the popular royal explained how he’s chosen the Aussie city.
“We had three key criteria. First, it had to be an iconic city – somewhere known the world over.
“Second, it needed to be a city with a proud military heritage, which would welcome competitors from all over the world with open arms.
“And finally, we wanted to go somewhere where they are absolutely sports mad and would really get behind our competitors”.
The video message filmed at Australia House in London featured some Kylie Minogue, Wallabies captain Stephen Moore and several Australian Defence Force members.
The Invictus Games Foundation is a competition which uses sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women and their families.
The games have already been held in London and Orlando and will be hosted by Toronto in 2017.
Harry has been hitting the headlines in the last week for his new relationship with American actress, Meghan Markle – with the Suits star spotted entering his Kensington Palace apartment, Nottingham Cottage carrying a bag of groceries on Friday.
And having already confirmed the romance with an unprecedented statement earlier on in the week, it wouldn’t surprise us if the happy couple are married by 2018, meaning Harry will be heading to Sydney with his very own princess,
We can’t wait!
