Hamish Blake and Andy Lee have announced their shock exit from radio.
The loveable duo told their 2DayFM listeners that they were happy to be ‘going out on a high’ during their last segment for 2016 yesterday.
‘Next year will be our final year for radio,’ Andy revealed. ‘We were actually thinking about stopping this year but we were having way too much fun’.
‘This has been the first time we’ve known for sure what we want to do. So we wanted to let our listeners know so they can come on the ride together and it can be a really fun celebratory year and we can go out with a bang’.
The pair will be focusing on their TV commitments in 2017.
Hamish and Andy will return to radio in March next year, with a throwback series titled Ten Years In Ten Weeks to air from mid January instead of their live program.
They will be concentrating on their upcoming Channel Nine program, which begins filming in February.
