Just months after his world was rocked by a terrifying near-fatal crash for the second time, Grant Denyer is officially returning to motorsports.
The Family Feud host has taken to Instagram to share the exciting news with fans, along with a snap of himself preparing to tempt fate once more.
“Back on the bike again at the w/end,” he captioned the pic, which showed the star clad head-to-toe in safety gear.
“Been a while, bit rusty but had a blast exploring trails and trying not to fall off.”
Fans were quick to advise the father-of-two to err on the side of caution.
“On behalf of the Australian Nation be careful,” one follower wrote.
Another concurred, adding: “Take care.”
The announcement comes just one month after the 39-year-old revealed that he was determined to race again, despite suffering a broken back in eight places, a fractured sacrum and two shattered hands in a rally car accident back in March.
And while Denyer’s loving wife Cheryl has remained publicly supportive of her Gold Logie nominee husband’s daredevil antics, a source tells New Idea that she is privately anxious about his decision to continue with extreme sports.
“Chezzi and Grant are each other’s whole world, and she’d be lost without him,” a source close to the couple revealed.
“She just doesn’t want something bad to happen to him.”
“[She] can’t help but think his decision to race again is a little selfish.”
