Gordon Ramsay’s father-in-law Chris Hutcheson was sent to jail yesterday for hacking into the celebrity chef’s emails.
The 69-year-old wanted to exact revenge on Ramsay after he was fired from the chef’s company.
He planned to dig up dirt on the Hell’s Kitchen star alongside his sons, Adam, 47, and Chris Jr, 37, and went through Gordon’s accounts nearly 2000 times.
Hutcheson was jailed for six months and his sons were given four-month suspended sentences.
‘The whole episode amounts to an unattractive and unedifying example of dirty linen being washed in public,’ Judge John Bevan QC said.
‘By seeking deliberately to get Mr Ramsay into serious trouble, it demonstrates the gravity of what was going on. These emails were unsurprisingly embarrassing, damaging and personally distressing to Mr Ramsay.’
Gordon has been married to Hutcheson’s daughter, Tana, since 1996.
