Behind their laughs on screen, popular TV couple Wayne and Tom have been hiding heartbreak.
This year has been rough on the Gogglebox stars with Wayne suffering from multiple life-threatening health issues.
‘I’ve had a couple of personal health issues,’ he told Foxtel magazine
‘I had whooping cough and a heart attack -and I was made redundant from my job. But when one door closes another window always opens.’
Wayne’s partner Tom admits he was terrified when his long-time partner was admitted to hospital.
‘It was a shock,’ Tom said.
‘But I can’t believe anything would have happened to him. I never panicked – I knew he was going to be alright.”
Fortunately for the loveable larrikin ‘everything is fine now’.
‘I rebounded really well and my surgeon said I must have been kissed on the arse by an angel! They managed to catch it quickly and put a stent in, and I was out of hospital basically the next day.’
