Tragic news about 8-year-old girl missing after Ariana Grande concert

The mother of an eight-year-old girl who was tragically killed in the Manchester terror attack is in a coma and has no idea about her daughter’s passing.

Saffie Rose Roussos from Leyland was killed after she became separated from her mother and sister during the chaos.

Her mum, Lisa, and her sister, Ashlee, are in hospital, but Lisa is critically injured and has no idea about her daughter’s death. 

Saffie was one of 22 people killed in the terror attack. A further 59 people were left injured with shrapnel wounds from the explosion.

Chris Upton, headteacher at Tarleton Community Primary School paid tribute to the little girl.

‘News of Saffie’s death in this appalling attack has come as a tremendous shock to all of us and I would like to send our deepest condolences to all of her family and friends,’ he said in a statement.

‘The thought that anyone could go out to a concert and not come home is heartbreaking.

‘Saffie was simply a beautiful little girl in every aspect of the word. She was loved by everyone and her warmth and kindness will be remembered fondly.’

John Atkinson, 26, and Georgina Callander, 18, were named as two other victims killed in the attack. 

23-year-old Salman Abedi was identified as the suicide bomber responsible.
