William shared the news with fans on social media, explaining that at the hands of his mental illness, which saw his sibling suffer from hallucinations, delusions, depression and mania, Hank “fought for his life every day.”

“Since his diagnosis, he tried to everything to alleviate the symptoms,” William wrote.

“In his daily life, he used supplements, meditation, strict dietary plans and exercise regiments. His daily disciplines weren’t enough to allow him to live the life he wanted to live.”

Together, Hank and William ran a martial arts school in the San Diego area.
