George Michael confessed how he had ‘lost the will to live’ in a series of shocking admissions before he died, according to a sensational new US report.

The superstar Faith singer had become depressed and gone on months-long booze and drug binges of heroin and Prozac before passing away at home on December 25, according to America’s National Enquirer magazine.

The deeply depressed star had suffered a string of personal tragedies which led to his dark thoughts and a psychiatrist commissioned by the magazine concluded his statements displayed ‘suicidal tendencies’.

Among his cries for help, he reportedly said: ‘I’m going insane and I know there’s another way to do this.

‘I swear to God it was like I had a curse on me. There was so much death around me.’

George’s grandfather and uncle both tragically committed suicide and the singer was said to have felt shame at the way he was publicly outed after an encounter with a police officer in public bathroom in 1998.

A close friend said:  ‘He was deeply disappointed that he had let his father’s image of him down.’
