George Michael’s boyfriend Fadi Fawaz has broken his silence with an emotional post detailing the devastating moment he discovered George had passed away.
Taking to Twitter, Fadi wrote:
‘It’s a xmas i will never forget finding your partner dead peacefully in bed first thing in the morning. I will never stop missing you xx’.
The celebrity hairstylist – who was linked to the star for a number of years, although their reported relationship has always been kept private – also changed his Twitter biography to ‘I will never stop missing you xxx’.
It is believed they got close after George’s relationship with long-term lover Kenny Goss broke down in 2009.
Confirming the devastating news that the ‘80s icon had died yesterday, a statement from George’s publicist read:
‘It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period.’
