In what is no doubt a devastating blow to George Michael’s family, new reports suggest that they will have to wait until at least the end of the month for the singer’s body to be released following ongoing toxicology tests.
you reports that all funeral plans have been put on hold until the exact cause of death has been established.
‘In similar cases, toxicology tests can take around eight weeks, maybe a little longer, so I would have thought the results will come back towards the end of the month,’ a source informed the publication.
‘There have been no new updates on the case — but from the moment of George’s death police have said it was not suspicious.’
The Wham! star died on Christmas Day, aged 53, after being found by his lover Fadi Fawaz at his home in Goring, Oxfordshire.
Whilst 40-year-old Fadi was initially questioned by police, he has now been ruled out as a suspect.
