Funeral plans for George Michael are being carried out according to his wishes.
Devastated by the death of his mother, Lesley Panayiotou, Michael will be buried next to her at the family burial plot, the Daily Mail reports.
A source close to the singer said he will be laid to rest in the Highgate Cemetery, north London.
Katerina Pourikou, the sister of George’s former best friend Andros Georgiou, told The Sun: ‘It has been really hard. I knew he hadn’t been very well but none of us know what happened.
‘Everyone in the family is struggling to take it in but at least he is finally at rest with his mum now.’
Michael was found dead in his bed on Christmas morning. His former manager, Michael Lippman claimed he had died in bed as a result of ‘heart failure.’
According to reports from TMZ One of Michael’s principal reps said the singer had not been ill, and had been working on a Showtime movie of his life that was set to air in England next March.
