Following the tragic death of George Michael on Christmas day, it’s expected the star’s godchildren are set to inherit his fortune.
According to reports, Michael’s estate is believed to be worth £105 million (approx AUD$180 million).
Michael was godfather to Roman and Harley Moon Kemp, children of bandmate Shirlie Holliman and Spandau Ballet bassist Martin Kemp.
Longtime friend Geri Horner’s daughter is expected to be mentioned in the will as she was the goddaughter of Michael’s ex-boyfriend Kenny Goss, The Daily Mirror reports.
Michael also leaves behind his boyfriend, Fadi Fawaz; his two older sisters, Melanie and Yioda; his cousin Andros and his two children whom the star was also a godfather to.
As well as money earned from his career, Michael also invested in property and art.
The ex-Wham singer sadly passed away on Christmas Day.
A statement to the press read:
‘It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period.
‘The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage.’
