Former teen heartthrob Aaron Carter has been hospitalised for exhaustion, just hours after revealing he was bullied by a fan.
The 29-year-old took to Twitter to share the news, posting photos of himself recovering in a wheelchair.
“Lots of shows lately had to head up to the ER just to get a little check-up,” he wrote from his hospital bed.
“I’ll recover.”
This follows the Crush On You singer’s shocking rant on social media, which saw him lash out at a fan who he overheard making negative comments about his weight.
“I’m entirely hurt by a so-called fan that I just encountered,” he tweeted.
“She wasn’t realising I was listening, she said I look like I have cancer. This is body shaming. You guys are bullying me. I’ve already addressed my medical issues. #bodyshaming.”
He added: “They literally won’t stop bullying me,” and, “I’m sorry I’m not fat enough.”
The pop star also promised to “work on getting bigger physically.”
Carter’s account has since been deleted.
Last month, the star opened up about being diagnosed with a hiatal hernia at the age of 19, a stress-related condition which he claims makes it difficult for him to eat.
“I’m not ashamed of my body, maybe I’m too skinny, maybe I’m too short but that one thing I know is I love my fans my family my girlfriend and my friend,” he previously penned in an Instagram post.
“I’m #NotPerfect you knever know what someone is going through.”
“We are not immortal.”
