Former Glee beauty reveals new male identity

The star took to Twitter to share the news with fans.

But now the former Glee star has revealed his true identity: Jake Zyrus.

Having undergone a drastic transformation since he first shot to fame in 2007, the 25-year-old took to Twitter to unveil his new name to fans. 

“My first tweet as Jake,” the performer penned. “Overwhelmed. Saw all your love comments and I’m so happy. Finally. I love you, everyone and see you soon.”

The singer has since replaced “Charice” with the new moniker on all social media accounts, whilst also making sure to delete all pre-Jake posts.

Fans were quick to show their support of the star, flooding Jake’s account with words of positivity.

Jake first opened up about his gender struggles in a ‘Where Are They Now’ segment with Oprah back in 2014, after previously coming out as a lesbian.

“Basically my soul is male,” he admitted.

“I’m not going to change my body – I’ll cut my hair and wear boy clothes, but that’s all.”
