Fifi Box has opened up about her plastic surgery hell, revealing she felt the pressure to turn to extreme beauty treatments at the tender age of 28.
Speaking out her radio show, the presenter says a hairdresser tried to convince her she needed to freshen up her look with Botox and fillers.
‘I went to a new hairdresser and he was really vocal and a bit too lippy,’ she admitted on Fifi, Dave & Fev. ‘I hadn’t met him before and I was sat there getting my hair coloured and I had my foils in and he said, “Look at those lines. You know these lines down here from your nose down here.”‘
‘He said, “You’ve got to get those filled you’re going to have to do that if you want to get a man.”‘
Thankfully, Fifi says her fear the procedures would be too painful stopped her from proceeding.
‘I could have have started doing all that at 28. Fortunately it was my fear of needles and messing up my face,’ she revealed.
‘My mum has also always been on the case, saying, “You’re beautiful,” and, “I don’t want you to look like a freak show.”‘
