Is this the worst House Rules mistake ever?

Fans were left shocked at the latest challenge

There’s fresh drama in the House Rules competition with fans questioning judge Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen’s judgement after he commissioned contestants to decorate a cancer facility with taxidermy.

The challenge saw contestants tasked with renovating Sydney’s Bezzina House, described as ‘a lifeline for patients and their families who come from country areas and stay here when they’re receiving treatment for cancer at a nearby hospital’.

With patients coming for specialised treatment, including radiation therapy, and sometimes accompanied by children, fans took to Twitter to discuss the unusual choice of including stuffed, dead animals in such a sensitive environment.

‘Taxidermy? In a cancer treatment centre? That’s a bit inappropriate,’ wrote one confused viewer.

‘Antiques yes, but taxidermy???? Oh no @LlewelynBowen is that what a family wants to relax to after being at a hospital all day?’ questioned another, whilst one fan simply wrote: ‘I’m not sure dead animals will make a welcoming space for people undergoing serious treatment.’

And the contestants weren’t happy with the decision either.

‘It’s not even funny … like, it’s seriously gross,’ complained Harry.

‘I think it’s bulls**t, it’s disgusting, seriously disgusting.’
