Prince Andrews is concerned about the status of his future grandchildren.
For this reason, he’s trying to persuade the Queen to allow Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie’s future husbands to have earldoms.
‘Otherwise his daughters’ children will be commoners, defined as one of the ordinary or common people, as opposed to the aristocracy or to royalty,’ a source told the Mail’s Ephraim Hardcastle column.
The news comes as Eugenie, 26, was spotted wearing an engagement ring. However, sources denied she is engaged to boyfriend Jack Brooksbank, 30.
‘There is most definitely no engagement,’ a source told the Daily Mail. They added: ‘The ring is one that she often wears.’
