‘She is funny. REALLY funny. Side-splitting-wee-your-pants-please-stop-because-I’m-crying-and-my-make up-is-running-funny. She’s extremely kind and generous to a fault- with all things- her time, her love AND her comedy.

Virginia – who played Frances James in Winners & Losers and is currently starring in a theatre production of Calamity Jane – meanwhile responded to her friend’s post with trademark humour.

‘I love you like Charles Boyle loves Jake Perolta even though you don’t know what that means. Xxx,’ she wrote.

Aww… you two!
