WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING THIS YEAR FOR YOU?
My modelling career has been happening, which is really exciting! My first ever cover shoot was with Girlfriend, and since then I’ve had several other editorials and covers, including some international ones like Harper’s Bazaar Greece and Madame Figaro. I did the cover of the Qantas in-flight shopping magazine, which is global!
HOW DOES IT FEEL KNOWING THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ARE SEEING YOUR FACE?
Seeing your picture in print is a different feeling. These days, everything is on the internet and social media, and my generation is very into online. But actually seeing a hard copy of something you’ve worked on – nothing’s like that.
YOU RECENTLY WALKED FOR AUSTRALIAN DESIGNER CHRISTOPHER ESBER AT NEW YORK FASHION WEEK. HOW WAS THAT?
That was huge! Firstly, going to New York was amazing, and then being a part of fashion week, seeing all the different models and talking to them. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see Gigi Hadid or Kendall Jenner, but I met some really nice, beautiful girls that were in the same shoes as me.

WHAT WAS GOING THROUGH YOUR HEAD THE MOMENT YOU STEPPED ONTO THE RUNWAY?
I was thinking: “Oh my God, don’t fall.” When I first stepped out, the adrenaline rushed through me and I was like: “Stay calm.” Falling is one of my nightmares. It’s difficult, because sometimes you get into these weird shoes or the floor’s a bit slippery. There’s a lot of scenarios where that could happen!
IF YOU COULD FOLLOW IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF ANY MODEL, WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
I see lots of women that I admire and look up to for their hard work and careers, but I don’t want to model myself on someone because I am myself. I’ll make my own mistakes. I want to make my own path and be unique.
IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE CHANGE IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY?
I already think it’s changed a lot, especially since the supermodel era of the ’90s. It’s about having a personality, not just a face. And you get to see a model’s life through social media and see that they’re a real person. That’s where Snapchat and Instagram play a huge role. I’ve also seen a lot more plus sized models, which helps to give a wider view of what women’s bodies can look like. Not everyone is stick thin. Though there’s nothing wrong with being thin and nothing wrong with being curvy.
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR GIRLS WHO ARE TRYING TO BREAK INTO MODELLING?
Always be confident, and know who you are and what you stand for. Being yourself is really important, because people are gonna like you for you.

YOU HAVE AWESOME STYLE. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR LOOK?
It’s very edgy. I’m not a girlie-girl. I’ve lived in America, Greece and Australia, and I feel like my style has evolved with the different countries I’ve lived in.
WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO MAKEUP LOOK?
I go for a natural look because I think less is more. It’s not about masking your face. Although makeup can help you look different, I believe in enhancing your natural beauty.
WHAT MAKEUP TIPS CAN YOU SHARE COMING INTO WINTER?
It’s all about cleansing and making sure your skin is moisturised. Your skin tends to get a bit dryer, so a light and dewy coverage is good.
ANY BEAUTY HACKS TO SHARE?
I love an inner corner highlight. When I do my mascara, I take a cutip and dip it in primer to rub any specks off. I also like to smudge a bit of eye shadow into my lash line – it helps define your eyes without looking like you’ve tried.
