As rumours swirled that the TV star had been sidelined by Channel Nine chiefs after her feud with Andrew Johns, the star spoke out about the shock incident.
Erin, 37, revealed to 2GB that the real reason for her absence was an accident nearly two weeks ago, where she fell and broke her arm and shoulder.

The sports reporter detailed the extent of her injuries and told 2GB Radio on Sunday night she had “broken the arm bone off entirely” which meant she has been unable to work, leaving her feeling stressed.
“It doesn’t sit well with me on any level, not being able to work, but it was a much needed rest, advised by doctors, and a fair stint in hospital as well,” she said.

Erin’s absence from Nine and her radio show came amid claims she had been sidelined by the network due to reported feud with Andrew Johns.
It has been claimed that the “feud” between Erin and Andrew dates back to 2017 when she replaced Paul “Fatty” Vautin as host of The Footy Show.
“Joey [Andrews’ nickname] has never been a fan of Erin, which isn’t fair because she works her a**e off … The whole Footy Show thing, with Fatty being booted, that is where it started to go sour,” the insider previously told The Daily Telegraph .
While another unnamed source told Daily Mail Australia claimed that Andrew does have a problem with Erin, saying he didn’t like the way she giggled or spoke over people on the show.
“He just doesn’t like working with her … Joey is a stubborn b***ard, if somewhere along the line she’s p***ed him off he’ll probably carry it around for the rest of his life.”

Erin is now out of hospital and has now returned home to rest.
She will continue to miss work duties until she’s made a full recovery, Nine News reported.
