Ellen DeGeneres has had a rough month following news her eight-year marriage to Portia DeRossi is on the rocks.
Now, the 58-year-old TV host had to make the heartbreaking decision to move her dad into an elder care facility, RadarOnline reports.
‘He broke his hip tripping over the threshold of the door onto the front patio,’ landlord Jon Hoffelt told the publication. ‘It was only an inch-and-a-half high — so you can see that he needed to be cared for.’
‘I know they’re in an assisted-living facility — but I don’t know which one,’ Hoffelt revealed. ‘No one knows because Ellen is obsessed with keeping things private.’
