Ellen DeGeneres has hit back at divorce rumours in recent months, but it seems as though her eight-year marriage to Portia DeRossi could be well and truly on the fritz.
The talk show host was snapped in West Hollywood this week, stepping out for a spot of shopping without her wedding ring.
Adding to the fuel to the fire, just days ago her 44-year-old wife was seen looking strained and upset as she dined with friends, her wedding ring also noticeably absent.
This comes amidst reports that the pair were caught bickering in public at a dinner back in April.
“It seemed like they were fighting,” a source revealed to Radar Online after witnessing the couple speed away from the Beverly Hills restaurant in Ellen’s Porsche.
“Portia kept trying to talk to Ellen, but Ellen wouldn’t even look at her as she screeched out of the parking lot.”
In perhaps yet another sign that that their relationship is in turmoil, the Hollywood heavyweights have been recently offloading real estate, putting their $6million condo in LA’s Wilshire Corridor on the market, Variety reports.
It’s believed that the Scandal actress was the one to instigate the split after becoming fed up at always playing second fiddle.
“Portia is tired with being the stay-at-home wife, while Ellen gets the big career and all the attention,” a friend close to the couple told the publication.
