Ellen DeGeneres appears to be the “Queen of Nice” with her friendly manner on-air, but US magazine Globe this week reports the TV talk show host is secretly despised by a slew of celebrities.
“Ellen’s public image is a sweetie who’s nice to everyone and is a real pussycat,” Globe’s source says. “But off-camera, she’s an absolute ice queen.
“She is phoney to the core! No wonder so many celebrities secretly hate her.”
Ellen, 59, apparently has made enemies out of Liza Minnelli, Paula Abdul, Drew Barrymore and Caitlyn Jenner among others.
DeGeneres called Liza a drag queen while hosting the 2015 Oscars, and “poked fun” at the Broadway legend behind her back, according to Globe.
Paula was said to be angry at Ellen for replacing her on American Idol.
Ellen incurred wife Portia’s wrath for calling Drew “fat” when the actress was a mum-to-be.
Caitlyn – a political conservative – is reportedly no fan of Ellen’s either after the talk show queen got on her case for not supporting same-sex marriage.
Even Ellen’s staff aren’t thrilled to work for her, Globe reports.
Adds the source: “She treats everyone on staff as if they’re her peasants. A few have even quit because of her behaviour.”
