Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi are finally ready to start a family of their own, US magazine In Touch reports.
In fact, it was Justin Timberlake who let the cat out of the bag when he referred to his pal Ellen as Portia’s baby mama at the People’s Choice Awards on January 18.
“Having a child has always been a dream of Portia’s, but Ellen has always gotten cold feet,” a source tells In Touch. “Though they’ve been down this family-talk road many times, it really looks like they’re finally serious about having a baby.”
Portia’s had issues with her health and sobriety but those stumbling blocks are out of the way following a rehab stint in spring 2014.
“Portia’s doing so well now has been a huge factor in Ellen’s decision to agree to start a family,” says the source, who reveals the couple may use a surrogate to carry the child or adopt from Ellen’s hometown of New Orleans.
They’ve seen how happy their friends Justin and Jessica Biel are being parents to son Silas, 21, and Ellen’s even joked “that if they have boy, they’ll name him Justin,” adds the source.
