Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi are headed for a $350 million divorce – over Drew Barrymore!
According to the US publication the National Enquirer, the talk-show host, 59, and the mum-of-two, 42, have become super close since teaming up on the reality show First Dates, for which Ellen produces and Drew narrates, and 44-year-old Portia is feeling left out in the cold.
To make matters worse, Drew, who was rumored to have had a fling with her Whip It costar Ellen Page, has recently admitted to being bisexual, saying: ‘Do I like women sexually? Yes I do. Totally. I think a woman and woman together are beautiful.’
An insider told the Enquirer, ‘Portia is threatened by Ellen’s relationship with Drew. Their emotional bond is obvious and Portia is feeling completely left out.’
Since splitting from her hubby and relocating back to LA, Drew has been a regular on Ellen’s show. ‘They have the same goofy sense of humor and they laugh like idiots at each other’s jokes,’ adds the tabloid’s source. ‘Portia is a lot more serious and it’s like those two have some unspoken language that she’s not part of.’
The news comes after years of ups and downs for the couple, whose eight-year marriage is said to be hanging by a thread. In March, Portia was pictured buying supplies for her bachelorette pad and an insider told the Enquirer it was after they’d had their worst fight ever.
‘Portia packed up and headed to a secluded home they secretly bought in Beverly Hills months ago,’ said the insider. ‘She’s been holed up there refusing to go back to their Montecito place. It’s gotten so bad between them that they hardly say a word to each other, even when they’re together.’
With Drew in the picture, the insider says ‘Portia has become the odd woman out’.
