A former Dreamworld worker has told New Idea it was only ‘a matter of time’ before a tragedy occurred at the park.
Our exclusive source – who spoke on the condition of anonymity – believes aggressive cost-cutting measures ultimately led to the catastrophe, which claimed the lives of four people last month.
‘They would try to save money by getting rid of staff who had been there for years,’ he explains.
‘Some of them had worked there since the inception of Dreamworld and they knew that park inside out.’
