A former patient of Doctor Phil McGraw claims she was sexually molested by the reality TV personality.
Sara Morrison revealed in an exclusive interview how Dr. Phil fondled her while she was his patient, Radar Online reports.
‘Not a single day has gone by when I haven’t been affected by what Phil McGraw did to me,’ Morrison claimed. ‘He profoundly affected the course of my life. The world should know this man is a predator and a bully. He shouldn’t be telling Americans how to live their lives, how to improve themselves.’
Morrison sought treatment from Dr. Phil in 1984 for low-esteem, depression and suicidal thoughts.
‘Phil was extremely insistent that I call him all the time, and he would call me. He wanted to see me three or four times a week – as a patient,’ she said.
Dr. Phil didn’t act improperly while during her treatment, however the following summer he asked her intern with him, which is when she claims the alleged behaviour began.
‘The first day I showed up for work, Phil had his hands all over me,’ she alleged.
‘There was never intercourse, but a lot of sexual touching,’ she said.
‘Phil would pull me down to sit in his lap while he talked on the phone to patients, other doctors, even his wife!
‘He’d be running his hand up and down the inside of my thigh all the way up to my panties,’ she said. ‘He’d put his hands between my legs. He’d reach in my blouse and touch my breasts. He pulled my breasts out of my bra and kissed them.’
Morrison added that she ‘froze’ when he touched her, and she ‘never touched him back.’
The claims were investigated and Dr. Phil had behaved inappropriately, according to documents obtained by Radar Online.
‘The board effectively put Phil out of business by making it too costly for him to operate,’ said Morrison.
A rep for Dr. Phil says her ‘claims are not only untrue, they were thoroughly investigated by the board more than 20 years ago, found to be without merit, and summarily dismissed.’
