President Trump has found himself facing criticism after a series of controversial tweets about Kate Middleton have resurfaced.

The posts refer to some invasive topless snaps of the Duchess that were taken by the paparazzi while she was vacationing with William on a private island back in 2012.

In the tweets, Trump defends a photographer who took the nude photos of the royal, even blaming Kate for making herself the target of the scandal.

“Kate Middleton is great – but she shouldn’t be sunbathing in the nude – only herself to blame” the 70-year-old wrote on September 17, 2012.

“Who wouldn’t take Kate’s picture and make lots of money if she does the nude sunbathing thing. Come on Kate!”

After copping heat when he first penned the insensitive comments, the tweets are making the rounds again in light of the Queen extending an invitation for President Trump to visit Buckingham Palace over the weekend.

The six men accused of selling the images have since gone on trial. If found guilty they could face up to a year in jail, as well as a fine worth approximately $63,000.
