When a spring clean of the New Idea archives produced these black and white shots of a certain Aussie actress, many in the office initially struggled to place the face. Do you know who it is?

Congratulations to those who recognised that it is none other than Deborra-Lee Furness, enjoying a bit of tennis for our cameras. Now married to superstar Hugh Jackman, she was of course once a regular sight in Aussie TV shows and films – from the late seventies, all through the eighties and nineties.

While sadly the pictures are not dated, we’re going to guess they date back to the very early eighties, when the actress was starring in roles on such TV shows and movies as Prisoner and Cool Change.
