Dixie Chick’s lead singer Natalie Maines has filed for divorce from her husband of 17 years, actor Adrian Pasdar, TMZ reports.
The 42-year-old musician cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, with her rep confirming it was a “private family matter” and declining to comment further.
Maines and her Heroes star beau, 52, share two sons together, 16-year-old Jackson Slade and 12-year-old Beckett Finn.
According to reports, the country crooner has requested joint custody of their children.
The couple met in May 1999 at the wedding of fellow Dixie Chick Emily Strayer and her first husband Charlie Robison.
They married a year later in an intimate ceremony in Las Vegas.
Sources close to the couple tell TMZ the split is amicable.
