Disney star Stephen Furst found dead

After a long battle with diabetes

Stephen Furst, known as Flounder in National Lampoon’s Animal House, passed away on Friday.

The actor, who was 63 at the time, died at his California home from complications due to diabetes.

Furst because a regular as Dr. Elliot Axelrod in the medical drama series St. Elsewhere and also voiced Dash in beloved Disney film The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea.

His sons confirmed the tragic news of his passing.

“If you knew him personally, remember his gift for lighting up a room,” they wrote. “And no matter who you are, when you think of Steve, instead of being sad, celebrate his life by watching one of his movies or use one of his bits to make someone else laugh — really, really hard.”
