Disney has officially announced the cast of its upcoming Aladdin live-action remake…and it’s good news for Will Smith fans.
The A-list funnyman will be tasked with stepping up to the challenge of playing the role of the Genie, previously voiced by the late, great Robin Williams.
Disney production President Sean Bailey also said this morning that newcomer Mena Massoud will star as the mischievous Aladdin, while Naomi Scott – who played Kimberley in Power Rangers – will take the role of Jasmine.
The film is set to be directed by Guy Ritchie.
