Is sexy British actor Idris Elba set to play James Bond.
Quite possibly, if this director’s comments are anything to go by!
Oscar-winning director John Ridley revealed at the premiere of his new TV series, Guerrilla – which Idris starred in and executive produced – that the British actor could well be set to shake up the iconic spy movie franchise.
‘Idris is pretty much becoming a national treasure for every country. We couldn’t have done it without him,’ He gushed to BBC Radio One.
‘It was a pleasure, he’s a gentleman. I can’t wait to see him as James Bond quite frankly.’
The 12 Years A Slave director’s comments may be a little off however, as when asked himself about the possibility of becoming Bond, Idiris laughed: ‘Oh my god, I have no idea why he said that. That’s another six months of the rumour, oh well.’
We can but dream…
