After a rough few weeks of criticism from viewers of The Voice, Delta Goodrem has spoken out about how she stays strong during the trying times.

‘I’ve just come into my sixth season and I feel [good] just staying in my own lane,’ the 32-year-old revealed to TheFix.

The latest round of outrage towards Delta occurred after a 20-year-old contestant sang Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You. Delta delivered some harsh feedback describing it as her ‘least favourite audition,’ despite fellow coach Seal picking her for his team.

Earlier this season Delta was slammed for her theatrics on the big red chair and last season she clashed with former coach, UK singer Jessie J.

Choosing to rise above the drama, Delta wants to focus on her team.

‘I just kind of do what I do with my artists,’ Delta told TheFix, before acknowledging the feuds between her fellow coaches. ‘When we fire up because we want the artist – it’s really up to us to just connect with that artist – it’s not looking sideways.’
