Delta been caught up in a death threat drama after her new co-star sensationally claimed: ‘Delta needs to be drowned.’
The much-loved Aussie singer has been forced to relive heartless comments made by her House Husbands co-star Firass Dirani, who made the shocking post on Twitter in 2012.
Reacting to Delta’s judging stint on The Voice, the actor told his thousands of followers: ‘Delta needs to be drowned. #right now #annoying human.’
And while 32-year-old Firass was quick to apologise for the callous remarks – describing his comments as ‘insensitive’ and saying it was ‘nothing personal’ – friends of the songstress claim she’s still hurt by the scandal.
‘When Delta signed on to do House Husbands, she had to think long and hard about whether she’d be able to work next to him,’ says an insider.
Delta herself admitted to experiencing anxiety ahead of her filming duties, recently telling the Herald Sun: ‘I was definitely nervous the first day… That first line, I have to say, my heart was pounding.’
Adds the source: ‘This might have happened years ago, but it left a lasting impression. She’s nervous there’ll be bad tension.’
Last week, pictures emerged of Delta and Firass looking tense with each other on set.
‘To say Firass is ashamed is an understatement. He was a lot younger when he said it and new to the fame game, but he’s learnt to watch his tongue a lot more – and rightly so.’
