It’s a battle of the blondes as New Idea uncovers the longstanding secret feud between Sophie Monk and Delta Goodrem.
Recently announced Bachelorette Sophie is said to have been harbouring a case of the green-eyed monster for many years, believing that The Voice coach is on a permanent mission to steal her thunder.

In 2014, Sophie did a parody of a TV ad Delta starred in.
In a swiftly deleted video clip loaded to the 2Day FM website at the time, Sophie could be seen stripping while miming to the classic track You Can Leave Your Hat On – which Delta had re-recorded for the campaign.
Speaking at the time, Sophie admitted: ‘My mum always said to me: “I love Delta, why can’t you be like her?”
‘So after seeing Delta’s ad I thought: “This was my moment!” Hope I did Mum proud.’
The cheeky moment was sparked years earlier, when Sophie was placed four spots behind Delta in the Maxim 100 list, a charting system that rates how ‘hot’ a celebrity is to men.

A regular on the lads’ mag fixture, Sophie felt the Enough singer was in serious danger of becoming the new favourite, even landing her own cover shoot for the title last year.
And there’s one particular man Sophie just couldn’t stand her archenemy getting close to – Benji Madden.

Sophie, 37, is said to still be furious that Delta, 32, became so chummy and overtly flirty with her former fiance – who she was engaged to for a year from 2006 – with the pair having hung out for years before becoming coaches on The Voice.
