Could Delta Goodrem be 2018’s Bachelorette?

That’s the explosive new rumour doing the rounds in TV circles, with sources revealing that Bachelor bosses are ‘pulling out all the stops’ to secure Delta for the hit reality show.

It’s claimed that execs have thrown around ‘insane’ offers to entice the much-loved singer away from Channel Nine’s
The Voice – convinced that Delta’s search for love would be a ratings winner.

‘The producers have been looking for the quintessential Aussie girl next door who the nation loves – and they keep coming back to Delta every time,’ says the TV source.

‘They’re saying they’ll do whatever it
takes to woo her
away from The Voice – they’re pulling out all the stops… it’s really full-on.

‘They just
know that having Delta Goodrem as the 2018 Bachelorette would be ratings gold – watching her find love on live TV, who wouldn’t want to see that?’

Sources close to Delta say that while she hasn’t seen a formal offer, she loves the show and is excited to be considered.

‘She’s a huge fan of the show and is still friends with David [Witko] and Courtney [Dober], who have been urging her to do it,’ says an insider. ‘It’s so much fun – she can’t think of anything better than being charmed by drop-dead gorgeous guys.

‘Delta’s really falling in love with the reality show format. While The Voice couldn’t be more different to The Bachelorette, she loves getting the instant feedback from viewers and you can’t argue they’re both hugely popular shows.

‘It would mean a change in direction for her, which is one concern. She worries she’d miss the music element she has in The Voice and part of her wants to get on with writing new music, but the other part of her wants to find love.’

‘Let’s face it, Delta’s kissed a few frogs in her time. She’s tired of casual hookups and kiss-and-tell chancers. She knows the show’s a game, but if Sophie [Monk] really does find someone, Delta will probably sign on.’
