Under fire after being publicly shamed by a high-end designer, instead of seeking solace in Seal’s arms, Delta Goodrem is reeling after he was photographed with a mystery blonde.

Spotted with his arms around the woman after a romantic dinner at LA hotspot Nobu, Seal has left his rumoured girlfriend and fellow The Voice coach jealous and betrayed.

While pals previously told New Idea Seal was ‘the one saving grace [Delta’s] got to count on’ in the wake of the fashion scandal, it now looks like she has been left to face the fallout alone.

‘Delta and Seal have been going from strength to strength. For him to step out being all flirty with someone else is a real setback for their relationship,’
a source says. ‘Especially when she’s in such a vulnerable place.’

While the singer has remained stoic after Sydney designer Yousef Akbar slammed her for not keeping her end of the deal when she borrowed one of his high-end gowns, pals say she is devastated.

‘Delta is having a nightmare over this, which she sees as a total betrayal,’ a source tells New Idea of the designer drama.

‘It’s as though people are out to destroy her for no good reason, and she’s starting to wonder what the hell she’s done to deserve it.’

Claiming he let Delta wear his expensive sequinned dress for a television appearance on The Footy Show in exchange for a social media plug, Yousef says he was told the singer was ‘p***** off ’ and ‘surprised’ when he asked for the oversight to be amended in a phone call to her stylist.

‘I’ve worked with much bigger stars than Delta, and they’ve all given me credit,’ Yousef – who has previously dressed the Veronicas and Jessica Mauboy – told the Daily Mail.

The whole sordid saga has left Delta reeling.

‘Delta thought she was doing a really nice thing by wearing something from an up-and- coming local designer, and can’t believe Yousef could possibly be complaining about something as minor as not being tagged in a stupid Instagram post, given the amount of TV air time that dress received,’ New Idea’s source says.

‘She feels she can’t do anything right these days and is worried she’s going to upset other designers in the future if she borrows their dresses.’

Though Yousef might not be in a rush to collaborate with the much-loved singer again,
a spokesperson for Delta said the lack of tagging was not intentional.

‘It’s so hard for Delta. She
is such a sweet person who would never intentionally harm anyone,’ the source says.

‘She can’t believe she gets picked on for such minor things almost every week. It’s just one thing after another.’

With her seemingly rock-solid romance with Seal now in jeopardy, it appears Delta’s run of bad luck could be set to continue.

‘They were talking about getting married and then he turns around and does this! It’s just not on,’ says a pal. ‘Seal’s flirty nature really pushes Delta’s buttons.’
