The Today Extra host is bringing a whole new meaning to the term ‘silly season’!
The dad of three young children has revealed his family’s unique Christmas tree – complete with child barrier!
The 43-year-old discussed the reasoning behind the tree while chatting with Today Extra guest Chrissie Swan.
‘Three kids is more than you can imagine, because you’re outnumbered,’ David said.
‘This year we had to put up a barricade to protect our Christmas tree.’
He then said to Chrissie, who is also a mum-of-three: ‘I need some tips on how to handle three kids!’
David and his wife Lisa Hewitt have Leo, six, and twins Billy and Betty, one, together.
