They’ve got one of the strongest celebrity marriages of all time and are about to celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary.
But now, David has admitted one big regret he harbours about their July 4, 1999 nuptials, which took place four months after Victoria gave birth to their first child, Brooklyn – who served as the couple’s ring bearer at the wedding.

While speaking to late night talk show host James Cordon, the topic of outfits came up. Over the years, the long-term couple have been known to wear matching looks.
‘Are there any looks you regret?’ James asked
‘Most of them,’ David revealed. ‘But they were right at the time. The leather outfit could’ve been much worse because we were walking out the door and I said “Why don’t we get a motorbike” which obviously back then felt like a great idea but now talking about it, it seems absolutely ridiculous. At the time it felt right, now I’m not so sure.’

Then James showed pictures from David and Victoria’s wedding, where the couple, along with Brooklyn, donned matching bright violet wedding outfits.
‘To be fair that was 1999 so it was a while ago…but purple, all matching, cowboy hat probably wasn’t the brightest idea.’
The celebrity wedding cost over $1million, 440 staff were hired for the reception and featured a wedding cake the couple cut with swords.
