She’s still weeks away from her fraud sentencing.
But Dance Moms star Abbey Lee Miller is already fearing the worst if she’s locked up.
“I’m afraid of being physically abused or raped,” the star told PEOPLE.
“I think the prosecutor [Assistant U.S Attorney Gregory Melucci] is tring to make an example of me.”
After pleading guilty to not reporting an international monetary transaction and concealing bankruptcy assets in June last year, the 50-year-old is now facing up to 30 years behind bars.
But although her Attorney is arguing that her behaviour “does not warrant imprisonment,” Miller knows her fate is now in the hands of the prosecution.
“I made mistakes and I trusted people, but ultimately have to take responsibility,” she admitted.
However, despite the uncertainty surrounding her future, Miller’s co-star Sari Lopez revealed that she trying to remaining “positive.”
“She’s nervous about the outcome,” Lopez told Radar.
“She’ll come out stronger if she has to go to jail. She’s going to make it through.”
“It could be good for her in the end,” the star added.
Miller’s sentence will be handed down in court on May 8.
