Now, Curtis Stone’s career is coming full circle, with the announcement that he’s the host of the new US version of My Kitchen Rules.

‘It’s so strange doing this over here because in some ways it’s kind of how I started,’ he tells News Corp. ‘One of the very first shows I ever did was My Restaurant Rules in Australia and then that morphed into My Kitchen Rules – and then here I am hosting it in the US.

‘It’s exciting to bring a little slice of Australian television to America. It’s a slightly different version to the one you see in Oz – we’ve got a bunch of celebrities as contestants so that brings a whole new element to it.’

Indeed, the US version will pit celeb teams of two against each other, with LeAnn Rimes and hubby Eddie Cibrian already signed up to go head-to-head with their exes, Brandi Glanville and Dean Sheremet.

‘What’s so great about MKR is you get to analyse that relationship of who takes on that leadership role and who follows,’ Curtis, 40, says.
