It’s 100 per cent official: Courteney Cox says she is actively examining the process of carrying a baby – at the age of 53!
In a recent interview, the former Friends actress opened up about her desire to start a family with her boyfriend of almost four years, Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid.
“I would love to have a baby now,” she admitted to New Beauty magazine, adding: “I mean, I could carry someone else’s egg. I may be one of the older people doing it, but I would love to, with Johnny that is.”
Now US OK! magazine is reporting she’s preparing to start the process right away in order to give herself the best chance of a successful implantation.
“Because of her age, if she does want to try for a baby, she would have to do IVF with donor eggs,” an insider told the publication, adding: “Even then it could still be a struggle. But if the odds are in anyone’s favor, it’s Courteney. She’s always taken good care of herself, and she’s as healthy as a woman 10 years younger.”
The source added, “Still, Courteney’s under no illusions. If she and Johnny decide to go ahead with IVF, I imagine she’d want to begin treatments right away to increase their chances of success.”
It was further claimed: “Even if Courteney can’t get pregnant, her friends say that she’ll likely consider adopting. But having a baby would be a miracle for her – a complete dream come true.”
