A contestant on the UK version of the reality show shocked viewers with his horrific treatment of his shellshocked date.
When singles Greig and John were paired up, all seemed well at first.
However, after abruptly abandoning John to have a cigarette outside, Greig comes back and delivers a shocking announcement.
“It sounds really bad but … I don’t find you attractive,” John admits.
“You’re a really genuine guy and we seem to get along, but I just don’t have that connection with you.”
Despite the somewhat blunt delivery, viewers no doubt would have been left thinking that at least the pair could now put any awkwardness aside and possibly even develop a friendship…
But – no, no, John’s not quite finished with the humiliation.
“What’s the point in staying and having main course?” he asks.
“So you want to cancel main course?” asks Greig, dumbfounded.
Swiftly settling his half of the bill, John exits to restaurant, whilst astounded viewers watch as Greig continues to eat his meal!
So, when he asked John what the point was in staying for a main course, what he really meant was what’s the point in you staying.
