Richard Reid is returning to Today

After being crowned the King of the Jungle on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! it seems Richard Reid has already bagged a new TV gig.

According to a well-placed insider, Today show producers have been in talks with the much-loved gossip guru in hopes he will return to the failing breakfast program.

“They want to steal Richard back from Studio 10,” the source reveals.

“He hasn’t said yes yet but they are throwing big dollars at him.”

Despite this, New Idea understands Network Ten have put up a fight to keep him. “They’re trying to outbid and are promising higher-rating roles,” the insider continues.

Richard was the entertainment reporter on Today, working alongside Karl Stefanovic for seven years before he was given the flick.

Speaking of his relationship with Karl during a recent interview, Richard hinted the pair no longer speak.

“His biggest fan is Karl Stefanovic,” laughed Richard who, during his time in the jungle, also revealed Karl had got hair plugs.
