Rove McManus earned plenty of raised eyebrows with his bizarre behaviour on The Project last Friday – and now he has explained why.
With social media lighting up with unsettled viewers noting his frankly weird interjections, one viewer tweeted, ‘Does Rove usually act like a 12 yr old boy or is this some new thing?’
Apparently it wasn’t down to some bizarre personal crisis – but a bet. Radio co-host Sam Frost had challenged him to insert a string of random words to ‘show your loyalty to me.’
‘I wanted you to throw in “chitty chat”, “hectic”, “guys guys guys”, “delightful human”, “me scoozi” and “mouldy pits” because of our executive producer who has moudly pits,’ she explained.
While it appears Rove succeeded in the challenge, a lot of viewers will be asking, at what cost?
