Back in the 1980s, all the boys wanted to be him, and all the girls wanted to date him.
Flash forward to 2017, and original star of The Karate Kid, Ralph Macchio still has that smile – and his good looks. The star drew plenty of attention as he hit the red carpet at the premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 in New York.
It’s hard to believe that 33 years have passed since Ralph was launched to fame in the hit film, which saw him plastered all over teen walls and on the cover of Tiger Beat.
What’s even more sobering is that at age 55, he is now older than his co-star Pat Morita was when the movie was filmed.
Ralph says he is proud of the ‘impact the film has had for three decades and that it continues to resonate across generations … and that I am getting seriously much older.’
‘We are entering the “Stay Golden Years” but looking damn good. I blame my parents — good genes.’
