Celine Dion’s erratic and strange behaviour has sparked a wave of concern among her friends, family and fans.
Fears for the popular French-Canadian singer peaked last week when she was spotted walking around Paris in her pyjamas, posing naked on social media and making a string of peculiar public displays in front of fans.
During one animated outburst, mum-of-three Celine was seen making fists and growling at fans, before becoming agitated and emotional as she signed a piece of fan art portraying her late husband Rene Angelil sitting on a cloud.
In another incident, she helped a middle-aged fan climb out of a window before accidentally dropping her.
‘Everyone is very worried about Celine,’ says an insider. ‘She’s always lovely and very kind to everyone around her, and that hasn’t changed – but she’s been doing a lot of things in the past week that are very out of character for her.

‘The nude Instagram post, acting really erratically to fans and wearing her Louis Vuitton pyjamas in public? It’s just bizarre. Her minders and assistants keep trying to encourage her to stay inside and relax, but she won’t listen – it’s like a car crash before everyone’s eyes, and no-one can stop her.’
Friends are worried her wild antics are linked to husband Rene’s death almost 18 months ago – as well as her brother’s shock passing just two days later. They fear the grief she suffered after the heartbreaking deaths has finally caught up with her after months of putting on a brave face for the sake of her sons Rene-Charles, Eddy and Nelson.
‘After Rene died, it was business as usual for Celine,’ says a friend close to the star. ‘He had been sick for a long time and his death wasn’t unexpected, so Celine felt like she’d had a long time to prepare for his passing.’

‘It was easy for her to get on with family life and working after he died – she was of course devastated and very lonely, but she was so focused on being strong and happy for her sons that she really pushed her grief away.
‘She’s been touring on and off for the past five years for a minimum of two hours a night, five or six nights a week.’
Friends have also noted that Celine has been actively trying out new fashions in recent weeks, ditching her classic style for outrageous and provocative outfits.

‘It’s all raunchy, animal print, leather and lace for Celine now,’ a pal says. ‘She’s the first to insist she’s not having a mid-life crisis, nor is she going out buying sports cars.
‘This is Celine experimenting for the first time as a single woman.’
