One year after her late husband’s death, Celine Dion has marked the anniversary with a very emotional video.

In a newly released YouTube video, the singer – who lost husband Rene Angelil on January 14 last year following a long battle with throat cancer – shows despite her poised and polished public appearances, in private, she is still struggling to come to terms with his loss.

The clip shows the mum-of-three at home, surrounded by pictures of Rene and their sons, breaking down in tears as she looks over the family snaps.

The 48-year-old Canadian is later seen curled upon a bed with her arms wrapped around a giant love heart cushion, tears streaming down her face as she gazes at a photo of her and Rene.

The emotional video is soundtracked by Celine singing an a capella version of the Sia ballad My Love.

‘My heart keeps calling you,’ she captioned the unnamed video in her native French. ‘Even more often today, after a year… I know you hear me. And I can hear you too. You’re my life. Forever, Celine xx…’

She then continued in English: ‘My memory loves you, it asks about you all the time. Especially today… One year later, I wish R.I.P. meant Return If Possible. Forever yours, Céline xx…’

The heartbreaking video ends with an emotional Celine kissing a dreamcatcher before gently hanging it on a gilded hand ornament.

The star previously shared an emotional message  on Twitter marking the one year anniversary of Rene’s passing.
