Over the course of 3 hours, we witnessed his presence over and over. He is at peace in the place he loves most. I haven’t felt him with me more than I did tonight. I sat in the dark and talked to him, cried and asked him lots of questions…

“Brandon asked Paul to give him a sign if he should start boxing again. Like the force of nature Paul is he made his answer clear. I know in my heart he is so happy with all of the changes we have made in his honour.

“In life Paul was constantly encouraging Brandon to start boxing again. Last night he asked Paul to move to the boxing bag if he should come back. Even in his next life Paul is looking out for my kids and I. Our family has avoided training as it’s a big reminder that he’s gone but Pauly is being very clear we need to dust off our boxing gloves!”

At the time of his death, Dani Lyons wrote on Instagram: “In the early hours of this morning my beautiful husband Pauly suddenly passed away. My heart is smashed into a million pieces and I can’t believe my soulmate and best friend is gone.

“We loved each other deeply and fiercely and can’t bare the thought of not ever seeing him again, hearing his voice or having him by my side. We had so many plans for our future and were only weeks away from moving into our new house and having a fresh start.

“Although Paul had endured much sadness at not being able to have a relationship with his own child, he threw every inch of his being into being the most loving, incredible step dad to my kids and they are all devastated at losing him. Our family will never be the same and we are heart broken.

“Pauly I love you so much.”
